Studio Special – The Studio Special takes Ludwig’s popular studio size shell pack and adding the Atlas Double tom mount to the bass drum.  This decreases the set-up time and allows for more consistent tom positioning while allowing different cymbal set ups to be uninhibited by sharing in the duty of mounting a tom on a shared stand.  The Atlas Lug position LAPAM1 Isolation mounting brackets let the tom float freely decoupled from the bass drum. This makes this kit especially versatile for backline use with fast change over and easily adaptable for left and right-handed players sharing the drum backline.  In the studio this allows cymbal stands and mic boom stands to be placed around the kit where needed without having to consider holding the tom position over the bass drum.  The Atlas double tom mount also features an additional accessory clamp for a small cymbal arm add on. Offered here in a forgotten Ludwig lacquer that has been resurrected – Aqua Burst!  Truly one of Ludwig’s most stunning finishes that bursts from a dark midnight navy to a vibrant aqua teal showing the wood grain. This configuration is available in all Classic Maple Colors.
